ipad ordered
What do u think about the ipad that’s coming out?
I heard them say that it’s suppose to be better than a laptop. What do u think? Also, in order to urf the web, watch videos and check email do u need to buy an internet service for the ipad? My sister says you don’t but me and my brother say u do. Who’s right?
OK so this basically how it works.
The iPad has a 9.7″ display at 4:3 ratio.
Most videos these days are 16:9 so there will be some problems which you dont find in most laptops today because laptops are in 16:9(most of the time).
The iPad comes out in April with Wifi and Bluetooth, which is exactly what most laptops have now. Theres nothing extra you have to buy except having a Wifi source. In some other month, iPad with 3G is coming out and it will be a service you pay around 30$ a month to get internet anywhere there is AT&T service. This can be considered better then a laptop because you can pull it out on the highway and check your mail, but if you are in a basement with low AT&T reception, you will have to switch to Wifi mode to be able to yse the internet.

This means that if you are working with one program and you want to work on another program such as internet and some text editor, you will have to close one program and switch to the other. All laptops sold in the year 2010 can multi task which means you can check your mail while you check your mail while you listen to music while you listen to music while you play minesweeper while you play pinball (assuming this laptop has 2 Gb of ram).
The iPad is not meant to be a replacement for a laptop, its meant to be a new device to own along with your iTouch/iPhone and iBook. If you own an iTouch or iPhone, the iPad is useless.
